After spending some time looking at all three methods I have found that the best method is dependent on many factors. One factor for example is what class you choose to play. For example, the Hunter class is the fastest mob killer and as such does really well in "grinding" (obtaining experience from the repetitious killing of monsters. As a result the hunter class also excels in farming for gold in wotlk and in the pre wotlk area of the worlds. Also for grinding, the mage class, and the paladin class excel in aoe (area of effect) dmg and therefore have the ability to gather many mobs and kill them at the same time. A method that is considered by many as the fastest way to level up to 60.
However all classes have the ability to quest and if done in a proper order quests can be a very beneficial way to increase your level. Also at higher levels the quest rewards sell to the stores for a big profit, or they can be disenchanted for items to sell on the auction house which is another good method for farming gold in Wotlk. Now the last leveling method is known to some as quest grinding. This is the act of questing, but killing every mob in your path as you go. I have personally seen this method increase levels at an insane rate. In fact I've seen people go from 1-60 in less than 2 weeks real world time with this method. And the addition that every class can engage in this action puts it above all others as the supreme method of leveling.
